It is 5 minutes before the year 2008 becomes History and the New Year of 2009 makes its 1st appearance.
Unk Dicko is sitting here in a reflective and pensive mood. Reflecting on the year that just gone by and counting the BLESSINGS received.
Not one to think negatively, I look forward with renewed hopes and confidence for whatever 2009 will bring upon the world and upon us.
Let us face the new year bravely as a people, as a nation of doers rather than grumblers.
Let us look out for each other with more care, love and sincerity.
Let us strive forth to regain the momentum of living fruitfully, enjoyably and usefully.
